Pubali Bank launches plantation programme in Betagi

Pubali Bank PLC has organized a tree plantation program. on Tuesday.
Nine hundred and seventy fruit, herbal and beauty enhancing tree saplings were planted on both banks of Ranipur Canal in Sadar Union of the upazila.
Barguna Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Ms. Taslima Akhter inaugurated the program as the chief guest.
Also present at the time were Upazila Executive Officer Muha: Saddam Hossain, Assistant Commissioner (Land), Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the police station Md. Harun Or Rashid, Pubali Bank Ltd. Deputy General Manager and Head of Barisal Region Muhammad Mosahidullah, Betagi Branch Manager Md. Saiful Islam, officials of various government departments, and journalists from print and electronic media.
Chief guest, Deputy Commissioner Mis Taslima Akhter said that tree plantation will play an important role in maintaining the balance of the local environment, ensuring nutritional security and enhancing beautification, as well as the national economy. She sought everyone's cooperation in the proper care and maintenance of the planted seedlings.
