Sonali Bank CBA delegation meets MD over job nationalization of part-time employees

A delegation from the Sonali Bank Employees Association (CBA B-664), led by General Secretary Mahbub Hossain, met with the Managing Director (MD) of Sonali Bank to demand the permanent employment of temporary part-time workers (PTCs) across the state-owned bank.
The delegation included Joint General Secretaries Jahangir Alam and Al-Amin Sheikh Babul.
During the meeting, Joint General Secretary Jahangir Alam highlighted that temporary workers have been serving the financial institution for years under precarious conditions, with many reaching the end of their service age or passing away without job security. He urged the management to regularize these employees on humanitarian grounds.
In response, the Managing Director of Sonali Bank assured the representatives that the regularization process for part-time PTC staff will commence promptly as soon as the ongoing permanent absorption of driver positions is concluded.
