No leniency will be shown to those creating anarchy: ICT Minister

Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and Science and Technology Faqir Mahbub Anam stated that strict legal measures will be enforced against those attempting to create anarchy, adding that planned violence intended to destabilize the country will be resisted alongside the general public.
The ICT Minister delivered the remarks as the chief guest at a mass procession and protest rally held in Dhanbari, Tangail, on Saturday afternoon, protesting organized attempts to incite violence.
Addressing the rally, Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam emphasized that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has issued clear directives that no leniency will be shown to perpetrators of public disorder and political violence.

Following the procession, a formal protest rally convened at the upazila party headquarters. The event was addressed by Dhanbari Upazila BNP President Professor M. Azizur Rahman, General Secretary Enamul Haque VP, Dhanbari Pourashava BNP President S. M. A. Sobhan, and General Secretary Rafiqul Islam Swapan.
The demonstration brought together leaders, activists, and supporters from the Dhanbari Upazila and Pourashava units of the BNP, Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal, Mohila Dal, Sramik Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, and JASAS alongside other affiliate organizations.
