
National Journalists Society stresses objective journalism

The Chairman of the Central Executive Council of the National Journalists Society, freedom fighter Advocate Alhaj MA Majid, said that without impartial and objective journalism, the country would be filled with lawlessness, oppression and corruption and people would have to live in insecurity.
The National Journalists Society, Ishwardi Organizational District Branch organized a discussion meeting and cultural program at the Ishwardi Upazila Press Club.
He said these in his speech as the chief guest at the discussion meeting held as part of the post-Eid nationwide tour on Friday morning.
Under the chairmanship of Touhid Akhter Panna, Organizing Secretary of the Central Executive Council of the National Journalists Society and President of Ish^radi Upazila Press Club and moderated by General Secretary Abdur Rouf Joarddar, the special guests included Advocate Dr. Shibbir Ahmed, Senior Vice Chairman of the Central Executive Council of the National Journalists Society, MD Ibrahim Mollah, Senior Advocate of the Appellate Division and one of the officers of the Journalist Torture Cell Supreme Court Branch, Central Office Secretary Asma Ahmed, Joint General Secretary Mamunur Rahman, and 9thers.
The chief guest also said that the Journalist Torture Prevention Cell provides legal assistance to journalists of the organization across the country, starting from the Supreme Court.
There is no reason for the journalists, members of the National Journalists Society, to stop fearlessly doing objective journalism. In the cultural program held later, everyone present, including the guests, expressed satisfaction with the performance of songs by Rajshahi Betar artist Nur Mohammad and others.
