A daring robbery took place at the house of Ismail Hossain Tuku, a poultry and hatchery businessman in Jamalganj Bazar, Akkelpur, Joypurhat.
On Friday late at night, six masked robbers broke into his luxurious house, *Mishu Neer*.
During the incident, the robbers assaulted Ismail Hossain Tuku and his wife Bilkis Ara, tied them up, and then broke into the cupboards, looting gold ornaments, cash, and valuable items.
The housewife claimed that the robbers took around five lakh taka in cash, several bhori of gold ornaments, and six expensive watches worth three lakh taka. However, it has been reported that the case filed mentions the theft of 30 bhori of gold.
Joypurhat Police Superintendent Mohammad Abdul Wahhab visited the crime scene. Police stated that an investigation is underway, and efforts are being made to identify the robbers, as confirmed by the police superintendent.
