The ‘Moral Parenting Family’ celebrated its 10th anniversary with a special discussion and reunion held at a city auditorium on Saturday.

The event, organized by the Moral Parenting Trust, featured Nitai Roy Chowdhury, MP, Minister for Cultural Affairs of the Government of Bangladesh, as the chief guest.

Addressing the audience, Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury paid tribute to the historical contributions of the rural community and the nation’s farmers. "95 percent of our population is directly or indirectly involved with agriculture and village life," the Minister stated.

Recalling the nation's history of struggle, he referenced historical movements such as the Tebhaga movement, the Indigo Revolt, and the Wahhabi and Faraizi movements to highlight the resilient spirit of the Bengali people.

Reflecting on the government’s people-centric, educational, and agricultural policies, Minister Chowdhury noted, "Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, our government, in its very first cabinet meeting, waived agricultural loans of up to 10,000 taka for farmers.

Emphasizing the need to transform the youth into skilled human resources, the Cultural Affairs Minister said, "Nearly half of our 200 million population consists of young people.

The event was attended by Professor Dr. Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan, Vice-Chancellor of the Bangladesh Open University, as the guest of honour, and Md. Obaidur Rahman, Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh, as a special guest.
