Criminals won't be spared regardless of party affiliation, zero tolerance for drugs, terrorism in Shahjadpur : State Minister for Health

State Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dr. M. A. Muhit, has directed the administration to work completely free from political influence to establish the rule of law. He asserted that in the current government, there is no opportunity for any criminal to receive political asylum, regardless of which party they belong to or whom they are associated with.
He made these remarks as the chief guest at two separate public programs in Shahjadpur, Sirajganj, on Saturday.
Throughout the day, the State Minister participated in various development initiatives, including inaugurating infrastructure projects, distributing food and financial aid to distressed families, and launching health and hygiene facilities for students.
Addressing an event held at the inauguration of a canal re-excavation project near Monirampur Bazar, the State Minister stated, "A crime is a crime for everyone. Regardless of party or political affiliation, when it comes to the application of law, there is no consideration. If someone commits an illegal act, the law will catch them; I can assure you of that."
Highlighting the perceived mismanagement of the previous administration, he remarked, "In the past, you saw that criminals would get away with their actions because they were protected by the ruling MPs. We will not allow that. We have proven this over the last five months. Even when the OC calls me in the middle of the night to ask if a powerful criminal can be arrested, I tell him directly that I do not want to hear who he is. Whoever the criminal may be, the police should do exactly what the law dictates.
During the inauguration of municipal dustbins and washrooms, the State Minister reiterated his commitment to addressing the primary challenges of his constituency, Shahjadpur. "My number one priority is to stop the spread of drugs. We have announced a zero-tolerance policy against drugs in Shahjadpur town," he said.
In terms of local development, the State Minister criticized the neglect of road infrastructure over the past five to ten years and confirmed that repair work is already underway through various projects.
Furthermore, Dr. Muhit announced ambitious plans for the youth, including the construction of a large, international-standard stadium in Shahjadpur, for which he has already consulted with the State Minister for Youth and Sports, Aminul Haque.
In the afternoon, while addressing students at the Jamirta Jahura Khatun Girls' High School and Jamirta Degree College, the State Minister encouraged them to maintain faith in their dreams, whether they aspire to be pilots, doctors, engineers, or lawyers.
