A 24-member full executive committee of the Kathalia Press Club has been formed for a two-year tenure during a general meeting held on Saturday.

The committee selection was held  at 11:00 am on September 12 at the press club office adjacent to the Upazila Sub-Registry Office. Following a unanimous vote, veteran journalist Principal Mohammad Abdul Halim (Dainik Ittefaq) was elected President, while Faruq Hossain Khan (Dainik Samakal) was named General Secretary.

The newly formed committee includes Md. Jakir Hossain Kabir (Dainik Dinkal) and Principal Md. Obaidul Haque Adud (Dainik Ganamukti) as Senior Vice-Presidents; Md. Shahidul Islam (Dainik Bangladesh Bulletin), Md. Liyakat Ali Jamadder (Dainik Amar Sambad), and Md. Asaduzzaman Sohag (Dainik Matabad) as Vice-Presidents; Md. Sakibuzzaman Sabur (Dainik Inqilab) as Joint General Secretary; and Md. Aminul Islam (Dainik Naya Diganta) as Organizing Secretary.

Other key office bearers elected are Israt Jahan Ruma as Women's Affairs Secretary, Md. Abul Kalam as ICT Secretary, Md. Shakil Miyazi as Training and Education Secretary, Md. Mosharraf Hossain as Sports and Cultural Secretary, Md. Shahjamal as Finance Secretary, Md. Tuhin Molla as Publicity Secretary, Md. Mahbub Poran as Social Welfare Secretary, and Abdullah Al Mamun as Office Secretary.

The executive council members comprise Md. Nasir Uddin Howlader, Md. Asaduzzaman Nishat, Md. Mizanur Rahman Sohag, and Md. Nazrul Islam, alongside general members Md. Heyamet Uddin, Md. Riyajul Islam, and Gandhi Howlader.

The election process was conducted by Chief Election Commissioner Principal A.K.M. Kamruzzaman of Amwita Mahila Degree College, supported by Assistant Election Commissioners Assistant Professor Md. Yousuf Ali Khan of Amua Shahid Raja Degree College and Assistant Professor Md. Abdus Salam of Government Tofazzal Hossain Manik Miah Degree College.
