Joypurhat Municipality distributes VGF rice

On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Adha, free VGF rice distribution was carried out on behalf of Joypurhat Municipality on Sunday morning, at the Joypurhat Municipality premises.
On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Adha, free VGF rice distribution was carried out on behalf of Joypurhat Municipality on Sunday morning, at the Joypurhat Municipality premises.
The distribution of government-provided VGF food grains (rice) was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Afroza Akhtar Chowdhury for 4,621 poor, helpless, and destitute families across 9 wards under a special government allocation.
The program was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner and Joypurhat Municipality Administrator Md. Sabur Ali, Sadar UNO Rashedul Islam, Municipality Executive Engineer and Acting Municipal Executive Officer Abu Jafar Md. Reza, Social Development Officer Md. Hasanuzzaman, Administrative Officer Abdul Hashem, and Assistant Engineer Md. Mizanur Rahman.
Happiness was visible on the faces of impoverished people like Arjina Begum from Dewan Para, Beauty Khatun from Bulu Para, and Fatema from Shapla Nagar upon receiving this rice.
Additional Deputy Commissioner and Joypurhat Municipality Administrator Md. Sabur Ali said that this time, Joypurhat Municipality received an allocation of 46.21 tons of VGF rice. This rice will be distributed at the rate of 10 kg per person against 4,621 cards.
