
Increasing of allocation to agri sector in proposed budget demanded in Gaibandha

A rally was organized at the initiative of the Gaibandha District Krishak-Latejur Sanghar Parishad in Gaibandha yestetday demanding increasing of 5 per cent allocation in the agricultural sector.
The rally was brought out from city's No.1 railway and met in front of the District Food Regulatory Office at the end of the city. After the rally, the leaders submitted a memorandum to Agricultural Adviser through Deputy Commissioner.
District Coordinator of the organization, Revati Barman, spoke at the rally, Sadekul Islam, district president of the Krishak Samiti, Ghulam Rabbani, district leader of the Socialist fields and the Krishak Front, leader of the Krishak Kharmamjur organization, Nilufar Yasam Artist, Samajjar, SamajjarDistrict President Moinul Hossain Mondal, National Farmer Fieldmamore Association Md.Sabbir Rahman.
The speakers said that the budget allocation in the agricultural sector, the agricultural production sector, the allocation of development budget in the rural marginalized people and the living quality development sector demanded the purchase of 1 lakh tonnes of paddy directly from the farmer.
At the same time, the government procurement center at the union level, distributing the agricultural cards to the real producers including landless farmers, breaking the market syndicate and demanding the introduction of the farmers cooperative market
