
Jamaat holds Iftar in honour of journalists in Jibannagar

Jamaat-e-Islami has organized an Iftar mahfil in honour of journalists working in various print and electronic media in Jibannagar Upazila of Chuadanga at Jibannagar Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami office on Monday.
In a brief discussion before the Iftar, Jamaat leaders said that journalists are the conscience of the nation. During the dictatorship of Awami League, there was no opportunity to freely practice journalism. But now that opportunity has been created.
They said that journalists can twist any issue. This is the request to you, you should call white white and black black. You should take care of this aspect. Never broadcast news by making white black and black white.
They also said that Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami wants to build a corruption-free country. If it is free from corruption, we will be able to build this Bangladesh as a golden Bangladesh within a few years. For this, everyone has to work together. We must speak out against corruption.
The Iftar Mahfil, chaired by the Ameer of Jibannagar Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Maulana Sajedur Rahman, was also attended as guests by the President of Talimul Quran Chuadanga District Branch Mao. Mohiuddin, Chuadanga District Ulama Secretary Israel Hossain, District Tarbiyat Secretary Ziaul Haque, Jibannagar Upazila Nayeb Ameer Hafez Belal Hossain, Upazila Secretary Sakhawat Hossain, Assistant Secretary Maulana Abu Bakar Siddique, Upazila Branch Publicity and IT Secretary Md. Harun Or Rashid, among others.
At the beginning of the program, the Baitulmal Secretary of Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Asabul Haque Mallick recited the Quran.
