The Independence Day and National Day were celebrated with great enthusiasm, enthusiasm and deep
respect in Gangachara, Rangpur. The day was celebrated with various day-long events including hoisting
of the national flag at sunrise, colorful parade, reception of freedom fighters, discussion meetings, etc.

In the morning, the day's program began with the laying of wreaths at the Gangachara Central Shaheed
Minar to the martyrs of the Liberation War by the Upazila administration. Government and private
officials, freedom fighters, public representatives, political leaders, teachers and students and people
from all walks of life participated in this.

In addition, the Gangachara Upazila Press Club also paid deep tribute to the brave martyrs on the
occasion of Independence Day. The convener, member secretary and other members of the press club
laid wreaths at the Gangachara Upazila Shaheed Minar this morning. They remembered the martyrs
who sacrificed their lives in the great liberation war and said, "The nation will forever remember with
gratitude the sacrifice of those who sacrificed their lives for the independence of Bangladesh." The
leaders of the press club said, "Journalists are the mirror of the nation. We have a responsibility to
preserve and propagate the correct history of independence."

After that, a colorful parade and physical exercise exhibition was held at the Gangachara Stadium.
Members of various educational institutions, police, Ansar, village police and other organizations
participated in it. The students' captivating display in this special event of Independence Day fascinated
the audience.

A discussion meeting was organized at the Upazila Parishad auditorium on the occasion of the day. In
the speech of the chief guest, Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Mahmud Hasan Mridha said, "The great
Independence Day is our day of glory." We got an independent Bangladesh in exchange for the sacrifices
of the freedom fighters. Our responsibility is to uphold this achievement.
The felicitated freedom fighters said, "In 1971, we snatched the country's independence with the fresh
blood of our chests. The young generation must come forward to build the country inspired by the spirit
of the liberation war."
There was a festive atmosphere throughout the day in different places of Gangachara. There was a
feeling of joy and pride of independence in the eyes of every person. A student participating in the
Independence Day celebration was saying, "We celebrated this day today with the spirit of

independence. We want to take Bangladesh forward by taking inspiration from the sacrifices of the
freedom fighters."

This arrangement to celebrate the great Independence Day has further strengthened the spirit of
independence in the hearts of the people of Gangachara.
