Expatriate's wife dies after being hit by train in Pangsha

 An expatriate's wife named Tania Akhter Iti (27) died after being hit by a train in Babupara of Pangsha upazila of Rajbari.
 
The incident took place on Saturday  morning on the west side of the Babupara Barapul Rail Bridge in Babupara Union of the upazila. It is learnt that she died on the spot after being hit by a Poradah-bound train leaving from Goalanda.
 
The deceased Tania is the wife of Saudi expatriate Tariqul Islam of Babupara village of Babupara Union.
 
It is learnt that an Iftar and prayer mahfil was being organised for the fasting people at the deceased's house today. So she had left the house to invite the fasting people. At that time, she was hit by the train and died. The deceased has an 8-year-old son and a 3-year-old daughter.
 
A shadow of mourning prevails in the area due to her death.
 
Babupara Union Parishad Chairman Md. Iman Ali Sardar said, I came to know about the matter through Facebook. Later, I called the relatives of the deceased and found out that she had died after being hit by a train in the Babupara Rail Bridge area.
 
Pangsha Model Police Station OC  Md. Salauddin said, we have received news that a woman has died after being hit by a train in Babupara under Pangsha Police Station. We sent a police team to the spot.
