Rubel's name not in gazette despite receiving recommendation in BCS, seeks PM's intervention

Md. Rubel Hossain has been finally recommended for the 45th BCS. However, he is spending his days in frustration and uncertainty as his name is not in the gazette published in 2026.
Rubel has demanded an impartial investigation and reconsideration of the matter by the relevant authorities to find out why his name was not included in the gazette.
Rubel Hossain is from Keorabunia village in Sadar Union of Betagi Upazila of Barguna. His father's name is Md. Yunus Hawlader. Rubel is a student of the 74th batch of Dhaka Medical College.
Rubel said that he started preparing after the 45th BCS notification was published in 2022. He passed the preliminary examination in 2023 and the written examination in 2024. Later, he was recommended for the cadre post in 2025. He was waiting to see the smiles of relief on the faces of his ailing parents, elder brother and sister, hoping to fulfill his dream of becoming the first BCS cadre in his family.
But after the gazette was published in 2026, all his hopes were dashed when he did not find his name there. According to Rubel, not only was his personal dream thwarted by the absence of his name in the gazette, but also the long-standing hopes of his family were shattered.
He said that despite getting good marks in the written examination of the 48th BCS, he could not pass the viva. On the other hand, after passing the written examination of the 46th BCS, he did not participate in the viva again, trusting in his recommendation for the 45th BCS and considering the issues related to the repeat cadre.
Rubel claims that he was optimistic about his future after receiving a recommendation in the 45th BCS. But now he is in uncertainty because his name is not in the gazette. However, he said that he does not have any criminal cases against him.
Appealing to the concerned authorities and the Honorable Prime Minister, Rubel said, "I want to live, I want to turn around, I want to serve the state - just with my just rights. Let my matter be reconsidered impartially and the specific reason for not including my name in the gazette be given." He does not want anyone's mercy; he wants his just rights and justice.
