Hathazari Upazila Health Complex not turned into 100-bed during AL govt
Md Hossain, Hathazari (Chattogram)
Even in 16 years, the Awami League government could not improve Hathazari Upazila's 50-bed health complex to 100 beds.
Although the government has been in power for a long time, the patients are being deprived of advanced medical services in this upazila. Due to which medical services are being disrupted. The residents were demanding to improve the health care by making the health complex a multi-storey building. The Awami League government has failed to do so for a long time.
16 years ago during the rule of the BNP government, the then members of parliament upgraded the late Syed Wahidul Alam health complex from 31 beds to 50 beds. Since then patients have been receiving services. The next Awami League government could not improve to 100 beds.
Every day many patients from neighboring upazilas Raujan and Fatikchari come to Hathazari Upazila Health Complex for treatment. Patients suffering from various diseases are taking outdoor medical services by standing in long queues every day. Although the Awami League government has always given the highest priority to the development of the health sector, it has failed at the field level. There has been no development in this upazila during the rule of the Awami League government for so many years.
It was very important to improve this 50-bed health complex to 100 beds, but because of this, the patients are being deprived of better medical services. The local residents demanded the current government to improve the hospital according to Sharia. He demanded to improve the health complex to 100 beds as soon as possible.
