Chowdhury Nayab Yusuf MP inaugurates Ulta Rath Yatra in Faridpur

The Ulta Rath Yatra, one of the major religious festivals of the Hindu community, was celebrated in Faridpur amidst various religious rituals and a colorful procession.
A daylong program was organized on Friday to mark the occasion. Initiated by Sridham Sree Angan, the Ulta Rath Yatra procession commenced at 8:00 AM from Sree Angan located in Brahmankanda.
Chowdhury Nayab Yusuf, MP for Faridpur-3 (Sadar) constituency, graced the opening ceremony as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the festival. Following the inauguration, the lawmaker exchanged greetings and pleasantries with devotees and pilgrims who had gathered from far and wide.
The procession paraded through various thoroughfares of the city before concluding at the Goalchamat Sree Angan. The venue played host to religious discussions, nam sankirtan (devotional chanting), and the distribution of prasad among the devotees.
In her speech as the chief guest, Chowdhury Nayab Yusuf remarked, "Faridpur has always been a unique melting pot of communal harmony and universal brotherhood. Such religious and traditional festivals further strengthen our bonds of mutual amity and unity."
The event was attended by leaders of the BNP, local dignitaries, members of the Sree Angan management board, and devotees from all walks of life.
