Keep July Uprising spirit alive, DU Pro-VC urges

Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) Prof Dr Mohammad Almojaddidi Alfesani has called for collective efforts to keep the spirit of the July Mass Uprising alive while building a democratic Bangladesh.
Speaking as the chief guest at a discussion titled "Looking Back at Twenty-Four: Two Years of the July Epic" at Bijoy Ekattor Hall on Friday , Prof Alfesani paid tribute to the martyrs and highlighted the university's central role in leading the nation's democratic movements.
To mark the second anniversary of the uprising, the university has initiated a month-long program and announced several key plans: observing 'July Women's Day' annually on campus every July 14, constructing a 'July Memorial', establishing a 'July Corner' in the central library, and expanding the July Memorial Museum.
The event featured speeches from faculty members, student representatives, and coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
