Exceptional Initiative to prevent dengue : 1,500 people take oath, get prevention materials in Mathbaria

An exceptional initiative has been undertaken in Mathbaria, Pirojpur, to eradicate mosquitoes and raise public awareness against dengue.
About 1,500 residents across 9 wards of the municipality took an oath to remain vigilant against dengue. Mosquito nets, mosquito coils, and bleaching powder were also distributed among the participants. This month-long campaign will continue across all wards of the municipality.
The program was officially inaugurated on Saturday at 11:00 AM on the Upazila Parishad premises, organized personally by Mizanur Rahman, General Secretary of Pourashava BNP. Ruhul Amin Dulal, Member of Parliament for the Pirojpur-3 (Mathbaria) constituency, inaugurated the campaign as the chief guest.
Speaking at the launch, leaders emphasized that destroying breeding sites, maintaining clean surroundings, and individual awareness are crucial to preventing vector-borne diseases. Awareness leaflets were subsequently distributed across various key locations in the municipality.
Advocate Rafiqul Islam Babul, Member Secretary of Upazila BNP, Jasim Uddin Faraji, President of Pourashava BNP, along with other local leaders and activists, were present at the event.
