Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan has expressed deep shock over the death of language soldier Ahmed Rafiq.
Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan has expressed deep shock over the death of language soldier Ahmed Rafiq.
In a condolence message on Friday, the Vice Chancellor said that he played an outstanding role in the great language movement. The nation will forever remember his contribution to the language movement with respect. He has written more than a hundred books, including the history of the language movement, poems and articles. These writings of his will inspire the new generation.
The Vice-Chancellor prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed his deep condolences to the bereaved family members.
It is mentioned that language soldier Ahmed Rafiq passed away on Thursday night while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun). He was 96 years old at the time of his death.
