Students of Bangladesh Institute of Health Sciences (BIHS) Nursing College  formed a human chain demanding the return to their permanent campus and ensuring a normal learning environment. They have alleged that the students have been suffering due to the closure of classes for almost three months, inadequate facilities and a dispute with another institution over the campus.

ToStudents held a human chain at the Technical Intersection in the capital. During this time, they expressed deep concern about their academic life and sought urgent intervention from the authorities.on Saturday morning.

The protesting students said that nothing remains of the modern campus and classrooms that were promised during admission. Their classes and all kinds of academic activities have been completely closed for almost three months. Amit Chandra, one of the protesting students, said, "The campus is locked, we cannot enter. Our labs, teachers' rooms - everything that a nursing student needs is gone now."

The students alleged that they are in a dispute with students from Bangladesh University of Health Sciences (BUHS), which is located within the campus. They also alleged that BUHS students have been blocking them and their teachers on the campus for several days.

The affected students also said that they have met with higher authorities including Bangladesh Diabetic Association (BARDEM) Secretary General Professor Dr. M. K. Saifuddin and the Director General of BIHS General Hospital for a permanent solution to the problem. They even claimed to have brought the matter to the attention of the country's current Chief Adviser Professor Dr. AK Azad Khan. The students said, "Everyone is only giving us promises, but we are not getting any permanent solution."

The students, citing documents they have, said that despite the fact that 50 percent of the campus land is owned by their institution, they are being deprived of that right. They expressed their anger and said, "It is not possible for us to get out of this crisis unless the authorities take concrete steps."

Amar Faruk, a first-year student, said, "We have been dishonorably evicted from our permanent campus. This is our permanent campus, but now we are unable to enter the campus. We want our campus back immediately; otherwise, we will go on the path of a tough movement."

Students are deeply concerned about their future as classes and exams have been suspended for a long time. They are demanding an immediate and effective solution and the restoration of a fair learning environment.
