Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof. Dr. Mamun Ahmed inaugurated the festival as the chief guest. The two-day festival was organized by Dhaka University Debating Society in collaboration with ActionAid under the theme 'Proposing Policies for Social Inclusivity'.
The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Dhaka University Debating Society President Zubair Hossain. DUDS Chief Moderator Professor Dr. SM Shamim Reza and ActionAid Bangladesh Senior Officer Advocacy and Campaigning Department Zohra Binte Zaman Boni spoke as special guests. DUCSU GS SM Farhad delivered the welcome address. Dhaka University Debating Society General Secretary Ragib Anjum conducted the program.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Dr. Mamun Ahmed thanked the Dhaka University Debating Society for organizing the debate festival. Stressing the importance of regular debate practice, he said that through this, the self-confidence and skills of the students will increase. He expressed the hope that it will play a helpful role in achieving success in their future careers.
It is mentioned that 24 teams from various universities and 12 teams from various schools and colleges are participating in this debate festival.
