Disappointing SSC results in Khetlal: 22 institutions yield zero GPA-5 , one records 100% failure rate

Educational institutions across Khetlal upazila presented a dismal outcome in this year’s secondary, madrasa, and technical examinations, with 22 out of 37 institutions failing to produce a single GPA-5 (A+) student and one madrasa recording a zero pass rate.
According to data from the Khetlal Upazila Secondary Education Office, the decline in performance spans all three major streams:
Only 11 schools produced A+ achievers, with low counts across the board. Prominent schools including Krishnanagar High School, Itakhola High School, and Ziapur High School recorded zero A+ results. Even Khetlal Government Model Pilot High School and College saw disappointing figures—out of 77 examinees, 22 failed, and only 7 secured an A+.
Only 2 students across 2 institutions achieved an A+. At Khetlal Khoshbadan Goljare Ulum Alim Madrasa, merely 8 out of 24 candidates passed. Kapasattikori Dakhil Madrasa suffered a complete collapse, with all 5 participating students failing, resulting in a zero pass rate.
A total of just 2 students from 2 institutions managed to attain an A+.
Local educationists and parents have expressed serious concern over the findings, attributing the poor results to deficits in classroom teaching quality, student attendance, parental oversight, and exam preparation.
When contacted for comment, Khetlal Upazila Secondary Education Officer Jabed Iqbal Hasan declined an immediate response, stating he would comment after reviewing the matter.
