
Book titled ‘Bloody Documents of July Revolution’ presented to DU

The book titled ‘Bloody Documents of the July Revolution’, compiled from reports, photos, analysis, comments, editorials, sub-editorials and reports of various organizations published in various media outlets at home and abroad on the recent student-public movement and the July Uprising, was presented to Dhaka University on Monday.
The 5-volume book was handed over to Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan at a ceremony organized at the Vice Chancellor’s Office by the former Vice Chancellor of the university and the author of the book’s foreword, Professor Dr. Anwarullah Chowdhury.
At the time, Prof Tahmina Akhtar, Director of the Institute of Social Welfare and Research of Dhaka University and author of the book’s foreword, Prof Dr. Md. Farooq Shah, Acting Press Manager and Editor of the book SM Bipash Anwar and Publisher of the book Nargis Sultana were present.
It is to be noted that the book ‘Bloody Documents of the July Revolution’ is basically a paper documentary. Eminent journalist and Bangladesh Ambassador to Mexico Mushfiqul Fazal supervised the overall editing of the book. The research editor of the book is Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaduzzaman, Director General of the International Mother Language Institute. More than 1,300 incidents, news and important information that took place in the student-public movement from July 1 to August 5, 2024, have been recorded in 11 chapters of this 5-volume book. It is expected that the collection will remain an important document in the political and social history of the region as a documentary book of the student-public uprising of 24. The book has been published by the publishing company T&T Publishers and Printing.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan expressed his sincere gratitude to all those involved in editing the book.
