Ansar-VDP launches dengue awareness and anti-mosquito drive in Dighalia

The Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (Ansar-VDP) conducted a special dengue awareness, cleanliness, and mosquito eradication drive in Dighalia upazila of Khulna on Wednesday.
Led by Dighalia Upazila Ansar and VDP Officer Mamtaz Khanam, the drive was held at Hajigram Government Primary School and its adjacent madrasa premises in Senhati Union on Wednesday.
During the program, Upazila Trainer Kazi Kabir Uddin, Union Team Leader Md. Farid Hossain, and local Ansar-VDP members distributed instructional leaflets to teachers, students, and residents to raise awareness about preventing Aedes mosquito breeding.
Following the awareness session, Ansar-VDP personnel cleared overgrown bushes, weeds, and stagnant water around the school grounds and deployed fogging machines to spray larvicides and insecticides across nearby potential breeding spots.
