New chiefs take over at Special Branch, Tourist Police in major reshuffle

The home ministry has announced the reshuffle of 11 senior police officers through two separate gazette notifications.
Kamrul Ahsan of the Police Headquarters has been appointed chief of the Special Branch (SB), while GM Azizur Rahman, principal of the Police Academy, has been made chief of Tourist Police.
Mostafizur Rahman, DIG of Khulna Range, has been transferred and given charge of Dhaka Range.
Outgoing SB chief Sardar Nurul Amin has been posted to the Police Headquarters, while Mainul Hasan, the outgoing Tourist Police chief, has been appointed principal of the Police Academy in Sarda, Rajshahi.
Dhaka Range DIG Iqbal Hossain, who was recently promoted to additional IGP, has been posted to the Police Headquarters.
Sayedur Rahman, director of the Central Police Hospital in Rajarbagh, who also recently received a promotion to additional IGP, has similarly been sent to the Police Headquarters.
Police Headquarters DIG Rezaul Karim has been posted to Khulna Range, while DMP Anti-Terrorism Unit DIG Mohammad Muslim has been given charge as director of the Central Police Hospital.
SB DIG Mir Ashraf Ali has been transferred to the Railway Police, and Metro Rail Police DIG Siddiqui Tanzilur Rahman has been transferred to the Special Branch.
