AL leader Gauz Shikder arrested in Tungipara

Police arrested Gauz Shikder, Vice-president of the Awami League’s Kushli Union unit in Tungipara upazila of Gopalganj on Saturday the afternoon from the West Para area of Kushli.
Acting on the instructions of Tungipara Police Station OC Khorshed Alam, a police team led by Investigation OC Nayan Chandra Debnath conducted a drive and arrested him. He was the second accused in a case related to a clash that occurred at Nilfa Bazaar.
Gauz Shikder has been involved in Awami League politics for a long time. After his arrest, preparations are underway to present him before the Gopalganj court.
The police stated, “No one is above the law. It's not political identity but the crime that matters.”
The arrest has sparked significant discussion in the local community.
