Coast Guard detained 3 drug traffickers with 10,000 Yaba pills in Teknaf

Coast Guard personnel seized 10,000 Yaba tablets valued at approximately Tk 50 lakh and detained three suspected drug traffickers during a drive in the Dailpara area of Teknaf Upazila in Cox's Bazar on Tuesday.
Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujon disclosed the details in a press release on Wednesday morning.
According to Coast Guard sources, a special operational team from Coast Guard Station Teknaf conducted a targeted raid on a residential house in the Dailpara area around 4:00 PM on Tuesday, September 15, based on confidential intelligence. During the search, officers recovered the contraband Yaba pills alongside Tk 2,200 in cash and four mobile phones, leading to the apprehension of the three individuals.
Legal proceedings regarding the seized narcotics, cash, and detained suspects have been taken by Teknaf Model Police Station.
The Coast Guard media officer reiterated the force's commitment to maintaining strict anti-narcotics surveillance and operations to prevent drug smuggling across coastal regions.
