
Two sentenced, fined in Rajarhat mobile court

The mobile court has sentenced two people to l and imposed fine in the mobile court in Rajarhat, Kurigram for the crime of selling and consuming drugs on Wednesday at 2:30 pm.
The Executive Magistrate of the mobile court, Md. Ashadul Haque, sentenced drug dealer Abdul Halim to 6 months imprisonment with a fine of Tk 5,000 and drug dealer Chandan Roy to 3 months of life imprisonment with a fine of 100 taka.
Accused Abdul Alim is the son of Topajjal Hossain of Manarkukti Telipara village of Nazimkhan Union. Locals said that Nazimkhan has been running a booming yaba business for a long time. We caught a young man selling Yaba. Two Yaba pills were found inside the cigarette packet in his hand
The drug addict is Chandan Roy, son of Swapan Roy, a resident of Tetultala area of Pandul Union in Ulipur Upazila. Rajarhat Police Station OC Md. Nazmul Alam said that the accused have been sent to jail on the basis of the original arrest warrant.
