A parents' rally on improving the quality of education was held in Goalando, Rajbari.
The parents' rally was held at 10:30 am on Tuesday in the school hall of Chot Bhakla Union of the upazila, organized by the traditional educational institution Chowdhury Abdul Hamid Academy, with the participation of parents of students.
Present as the chief guest at the parents' gathering was Chowdhury Abdul Hamid Academy President and Upazila Executive Officer Md. Nahidur Rahman.
Also present at the event were Upazila Secondary Education Officer Jayanta Kumar Das, school headmaster Md. Rafiqul Islam, Imam of Upazila Model Mosque Mufti Azam Ahmad, other members of the school's managing committee, teachers, guardians, students, etc.
The assembly was moderated by the school's assistant teacher Md. Shahidul Islam.
In his speech as the chief guest, the president of the organization and Upazila Executive Officer Md. Nahidur Rahman said that the parents should be more aware of improving the quality of education of the school students. If the parents of each student are aware of their child, then that child will definitely have good results.
If they come to the school from time to time and inquire about the child, they will not be able to evade their studies. Special attention should be paid to each student. The student who is weak in the subject should practice through extra lessons. This will increase the reputation and quality of the school. For this, such parent gatherings should be held from time to time in coordination with teachers and parents. This will further improve the quality of education in the school. He also said that the students should take attendance twice before and after tiffin, so that it can be understood if any student leaves the school after tiffin. Besides, the teachers should keep a strict watch on the students.
At the end of the assembly, sports equipment (rackets, volleyball, football, chess) was presented to the school students by the upazila administration.
