New RMO Dr. Jebal calls on journalists to publish objective information to improve Joypurhat medical system

Dr. Ashiq Ahmed Jebal (Bappi), the newly-joined Resident Medical Officer (RMO) of the 400-bed Joypurhat General Hospital, has urged journalists to present objective information for the overall development of the medical system.
He made this call at a discussion meeting organized at the Joypurhat Press Club auditorium after 8 pm on Thursday.
Dr. Ashiq Ahmed Jebal said that recently, some content creators have been spreading baseless and false information about hospitals on social media. Such misinformation is seriously hampering the improvement of the quality of hospital services and normal operations. It is also creating an unwanted distance between doctors and patients.
He further said that this misinformation can only be prevented through objective and responsible journalism. He requested journalists to take the matter seriously so that there is no confusion among doctors and the public.
Presided over by Joypurhat Press Club President Abu Bakar Siddique and moderated by General Secretary Shamim Kadir, the meeting was addressed by Press Club Vice President Tanvirul Islam Reagan, Treasurer Ismail Hossain, Journalists Abdul Alim, Alamgir Chowdhury, Momen Muni, Kh. M Abdur Rahman Roni, Mashrequl Alam, Rabiul Islam Rubel, Rasheduzzaman Rashed, Shahidul Islam Sabuj, Sujan Kumar Mondal, Salehur Rahman Sajeeb and Arafat Hossain Moon along with other journalists working in the district.
