The monthly law and order committee meeting was held at the Bagha Upazila Parishad auditorium in Rajshahi. The meeting, held on Monday  discussed various issues including maintaining the overall law and order situation in the upazila, preventing child marriage, controlling drugs, stopping illegal sand mining and solving local road problems.

Bagha Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Md. Taqi Faisal Talukder presided over the meeting.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) Nusrat Jahan Ananya, Bagha Police Station OC Serajul Haque, Upazila Agriculture Officer Abdul Mannan, Upazila Fisheries Officer Tohura Haque, Disability Affairs Officer Munsur Hossain, along with officials from various departments, political leaders and local media personnel, spoke at the meeting.

The speakers  emphasized the need for coordinated efforts by the administration, law enforcement agencies, and the general public to maintain the overall law and order situation in the upazila. In particular, regular monitoring and taking necessary legal measures to prevent the spread of drugs, prevent child marriage, and stop illegal sand mining in various areas including the Padma River char areas were discussed.

In addition, importance was also given to the relevant departments taking effective initiatives to renovate the internal roads of the upazila and improve the communication system.

The speakers present at the meeting emphasized the need to maintain peace and order in the area and increase mutual cooperation and coordination among all relevant departments to resolve public problems.
