Housewife dies after being beaten by husband in Chandanaish

A housewife named Runa Akter (35) tragically died after being brutally beaten by her husband over a family dispute in Charbarma Guchcha village of Barma Union in Chandanaish Upazila of Chittagong. The accused husband, Md. Zakir Hossain, has been arrested by Chandanaish Police Station in this incident.
The incident occurred at his home in Charbarma Guchcha village on Thursday at around 10 pm.
According to local and police sources, Runa Akhter and her husband Zakir Hossain had an argument over a trivial matter at night on the day of the incident. At one point, Zakir got angry and beat Runa severely. At one point during the beating, Runa fell to the ground and died on the spot.
A,police team led by Chandanaish Police Station Officer-in-Charge OC Didarul Islam Sikder quickly reached the spot, arrested the accused husband Zakir Hossain from the spot, prepared the victim's autopsy report and sent the body to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
