Farmer Amirul achieves success with BINA Dhan-17 cultivation in Dimla

A hardworking farmer from Hajipara village of Baburhat in Dimla upazila, Md. Amirul Islam (son of late Shamsul Haque), has achieved remarkable success in cultivating the BINA Dhan-17 rice variety. This season, he harvested an impressive yield of 5.28 metric tons per hectare.
On the afternoon of October 8 (Tuesday), UNO Imranuzzaman and Upazila Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Mir Hasan Al Banna visited the paddy field to observe the harvest. They expressed satisfaction with the high yield of the BINA Dhan-17 variety.
Agriculture Officer Mir Hasan Al Banna said, “BINA Dhan-17 is a short-duration, high-yielding, and disease-resistant rice variety. If cultivated properly, farmers can achieve excellent yields.”
Farmer Amirul Islam stated that with regular guidance from agricultural officials and by following modern cultivation methods, he was able to achieve such a good harvest. He also expressed his intention to continue cultivating this variety in the future.
