Cattle trader’s hanging body recovered in Kishoreganj Upazila

Police have recovered the hanging body of a cattle trader named Mostafizar Rahman (30) with his hands and feet tied in Nilphamari.
The body was recovered from a tree in a bamboo grove in Uttar Barovita Madhyapara village of Barovita Union under Kishoreganj Upazila at around 12 noon on Friday . He was the son of Islam Uddin of Uttar Barovita Madhyapara village. Professionally, he was a cattle trader.
The victim’s brother, Mainul, said that on Thursday night, after attending a local arbitration meeting regarding a land dispute, his brother returned home around 1 a.m. Later in the morning, local residents informed them that they had found his brother’s body hanging from a tree.
Kishoreganj Police Station OC (Investigation) Abdul Quddus said the body has been sent to the district morgue for autopsy. “Nothing can be said before the post-mortem report arrives,” he added.
