Faridpur Pourashova evicted illegal structures, recovered own land

Faridpur Municipality has launched a drive to recover land owned by the municipal authority and evict illegal structures occupying public property on Tuesday afternoon in the Goalchamat Hazratala area of the town.
According to municipality sources, Kabir Chowdhury, a local resident of Goalchamat, had illegally occupied around 0.25 decimals of municipal land and set up a commercial establishment. Around 12:30 PM on Tuesday, the authorities demolished the illegal structure using an excavator and fully reclaimed the land.
Faridpur Municipality CEO Hossain Mohammad Hai Zoki and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Shafiqul Islam were directly present to supervise the eviction operation.
The drive was also attended by Municipal Social Development Officer Syed Mohammad Ahaduzzaman, Electricity Division Sub-Assistant Engineer Md. Shariful Hasan, Civil Division Sub-Assistant Engineer Lizing Hossain Raju, Accountant Krishna Kumar Saha, License Inspector Rashed Bin Ahmed, and Conservancy Inspector Bikash Dutta.
Other key officials present included Head Assistant Faridul Islam, Upper Division Assistant Rokibul Hasan Robin, Steno-Typist Abhijit Saha Abhi, Assistant License Inspector Tauhiduzzaman, Computer Operator Salahuddin Ahmed Sumon, Market Inspector Kawsar Molla, along with local staff and employees.
Following the operation, municipal officials delivered a clear warning, stating that a zero-tolerance policy has been adopted against all illegal encroachers occupying municipal land across the town. They reaffirmed that similar eviction drives will continue systematically in the coming days to ensure all public properties are freed from illegal occupation.
