Freedom fighter Ziaur Rahman Hall has became the champion and Poet Jasim Uddin Hall became the runner-up in the male group of the Dhaka University inter-hall swimming competition.
Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall became the champion and Shamsun Nahar became the runner-up in the female group of the competition. Freedom fighter Ziaur Rahman Hall became the champion and Shaheed Sergeant Zahurul Haque Hall became the runner-up in the male group of the inter-hall water polo competition. Dhaka University Pro-VC (Administration) Professor Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha attended a function at the university swimming pool as the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners on Friday evening.
The award distribution ceremony was presided over by Prof Kazi Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman, President of the Swimming and Water Polo Committee, and was attended by Physical Education Center Advisor Prof Dr. ASM Mostafa Al Mamun, Acting Director of the Center SM Zakaria, as well as principals of various halls, residential teachers, students and players.
It is worth mentioning that Sheikh Jamil Hasan of Muktijoddha Ziaur Rahman Hall and Rakibul Islam Tushar of Kabi Jasim Uddin Hall jointly won the best swimmer in the boys' group in this two-day competition. Zuairia Ferdous of Shamsun Nahar Hall won the best swimmer in the girls' group.
