Construction of 36-July Residential Flat Project halted due to irregularities : Adilur Rahman

Due to reports of irregularities published in various media outlets, the ‘36 Julai Housing Project’ has been suspended in the latest ECNEC (Executive Committee of the National Economic Council) meeting.
This information was disclosed by Adilur Rahman Khan, Adviser to the Ministries of Housing and Public Works, and Industries.
He made the remarks to the media on Sunday afternoon following the inauguration of the 'July Martyrs Memorial' at the Lichutala area of Munshiganj district town.
The adviser further stated that work is progressing to transform Ganabhaban into a museum, symbolizing the fall of fascism.
Also speaking at the event was Home and Agriculture Advisor, retired Lieutenant General Jahangir Alam Chowdhury.
The advisers, along with family members of the July martyrs, placed floral wreaths at the memorial. A special prayer and munajat were also held in remembrance of the martyrs.
Among those present were DIG of Dhaka Range Rezaul Karim Mallik, Munshiganj Deputy Commissioner Fatema Tul jannat, Superintendent of Police Muhammad Shamsul Alam Sarkar, leaders of the District Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, and people from various professions.
