
8 notorious robbers arrested in Bhola with firearm, cache of local weapons in Bhola

Eight notorious robbers have been arrested in Bhola with one firearm and a large quantity of local weapons by the Coast Guard.
Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haque disclosed this information in a press release on Sunday morning.
According to the press release, for some time, a group of robbers had been conducting extortion, land grabbing, and various criminal activities by holding local residents and fishermen hostage in the Char Bairagi area and adjacent chars of Daulatkhan upazila in Bhola.
Based on received information, on Friday, 25 July, at 5:30 PM, a special operation was carried out in the Tulatuli Ghat area under Bhola Sadar Police Station with the cooperation of local residents. During the operation, three robbers were arrested from the area along with one locally made firearm (pistol).
Later, based on the information provided by the arrested robbers, another operation was conducted on Saturday, 26 July, from 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Char Bairagi area under Daulatkhan Police Station with the assistance of local residents. During the operation, seven local weapons (six ramdas, one knife), two metal sticks, and five more robbers were arrested from the area.
The arrested robbers are residents of Bhola Sadar and Char Fashion areas.
Subsequently, the seized weapons and the arrested robbers were handed over to Bhola Sadar and Daulatkhan police stations for appropriate legal action.
To maintain the country's law and order, Bangladesh Coast Guard will continue such operations in the future.
