Chittagong Divisional Commissioner Gold Cup Football Tournament begins in Rangamati

After a long 27 years, the Chittagong Divisional Commissioner Gold Cup Football Tournament has begun again in Rangamati hill district.
The inaugural ceremony was held at Rangamati Mari Stadium on Thursday at 3 pm, organized by the Chittagong Divisional Sports Association and in collaboration with the Rangamati District Administration and managed by the Rangamati Hill District Sports Association.
The Chittagong Divisional Commissioner Gold Cup Football Tournament was inaugurated by the Divisional Commissioner of Chittagong Division, Dr. Md. Ziauddin.
The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Rangamati Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Habib Ullah Maruf, and was attended by Additional Divisional Commissioner Sharmin Jahan, Rangamati Sadar Zone Commander Lt. Col. Junaid Uddin Shah Chowdhury, Superintendent of Police Dr. SM Farhad Hossain Chowdhury, District Council Chairman Krishibid Kajal Talukder, Additional Deputy Commissioner Md. Ruhul Amin, Rangamati District BNP General Secretary and former Vice President of the District Sports Association Adv. Mamunur Rashid Mamun.
Rangamati District Team vs. Bandarban District Team competed in the inaugural game.
It is mentioned that 11 district teams of the division including Chittagong, three hill districts, Noakhali, Comilla are participating in the tournament. The teams will be divided into two zones and will play at Rangamati and Comilla venues.
