Centenary of East Kotalipara Union High School celebrated

Various programmes were celebrated in a colourful manner to mark the centenary of East Kotalipara Union High School in Kotalipara Upazila of Gopalganj on Friday.

The official joyous procession of the centenary celebration began with a reminiscence on a beautiful stage in the school grounds in a festive atmosphere.

The procession passed the house of the founder of the school, the late Shashibhushan Madhu, and then circled various roads in the Kandi area of Zahar. Later, Additional DIG of Bangladesh Police CID, Mosa: Siddika Begum, inaugurated the centenary celebration program by releasing balloons in the school premises.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Gopalganj Md. Golam Kabir was present as the chief guest at the discussion meeting of the programme .

President of the Centenary Celebration Committee, Professor Dr. The discussion meeting, chaired by Shukdev Chandra Majumdar, was attended by Arun Kumar Biswas, Director General of the Research Division of the National Board of Revenue, Sushanta Pal, Joint Commissioner of Benapole Custom House, Gopalganj Additional Superintendent of Police Kazi Mahbubul Alam, Kotalipara UNO Sagufta Haque, General Secretary of the Centenary Celebration Committee Banoj Kumar Majumdar, journalist Prashant Adhikari, and former students and guests.

After the discussion meeting, the guests unveiled the souvenir published on the occasion of the centenary celebration of the school. In the third part of the program, a delightful cultural program was held with the performances of famous musical artists from all over the country.
