BNP leaders, activists must be prepared to make more sacrifices - Dr. Zahid

BNP Standing Committee Member Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain told local BNP leaders and activists, "We must remember that we are the workers of the rice fields of martyred President Ziaur Rahman, national leaders Begum Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman. We must be more prepared to sacrifice our BNP leaders and activists."
He made the above remarks as the chief guest at an emergency meeting organized by Dinajpur District BNP on Friday afternoon.
He said, BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman is coming to Dinajpur on January 12. On this day, he will visit the graves of his grandparents and aunts. After the grave visit, he will participate in a prayer meeting organized by Dinajpur District BNP. Before that, Tarique Rahman will exchange greetings with the families of the martyrs and the injured in the July Movement. No political discussions will be held around Tarique Rahman's arrival. A solemn prayer meeting will be held at all three places. In the prayer meeting, we will pray for the people who were martyred for the complete restoration of the system, including the leader Begum Khaleda Zia. Starting from the behavior and image and choice of words of each of our leaders and activists, we must show our solemnity in posters, banners, leaflets. We must remember that the national elections are ahead. In view of the national elections, the election rules cannot be violated in any way. Our beloved leader, the leader Begum Khaleda, is no longer with us. Let us all pray to Allah for the forgiveness of his soul. We will do it for the orphans. Please do not hold any grand ceremonies. Tarique Rahman is coming to Dinajpur on January 12. On this day, the leaders and activists of all the allied organizations including BNP will remain in a very orderly manner.
BNP nominated candidates from 6 parliamentary constituencies in Dinajpur were present at the emergency meeting organized under the chairmanship of Dinajpur District BNP President Advocate Mofazzal Hossain Dulal and moderated by District BNP General Secretary Bakhtiar Ahmed Kochi.
After the emergency discussion meeting, prayers were held for the eternal peace of the soul of national leader Begum Khaleda Zia.
