AL trading on Liberation War, another party trading on July: Religious Minister Kaikobad

Minister of Religious Affairs and Member of Parliament for Comilla-3 (Muradnagar) constituency Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad has commented that the Awami League has done business with the Liberation War, while another party is doing business with the July spirit.
He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a ceremony to distribute grants from the Minister of Religious Affairs' own fund among the family members of freedom fighters and martyrs at the Muradnagar Upazila Parishad Complex in Comilla on Monday.
The religious affairs minister said, "Awami League has done business with the Liberation War, another party is doing business with the July spirit. We do not want to do business. Tarique Rahman has clearly said that everyone should be given respect. We have to move forward based on the July spirit. At the same time, those who participated in the great Liberation War should also be given due respect. The founder of BNP is a freedom fighter, our Prime Minister is also the son of a freedom fighter."
Referring to his treatment, the religious affairs minister said, "I and my family are grateful to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. He gave me a long leave for my treatment."
Praising Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, he said, "He is a man who works hard for the country. One day, while talking to him after office hours, I saw that he was very tired. But there was no sign of fatigue in his speech. He always thinks about the helpless and poor people of Bangladesh.
The program organized by Muradnagar Upazila Administration was presided over by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Acting Upazila Executive Officer Shakib Hasan Khan. The program, moderated by Assistant Teacher Sharmin Fatema, was addressed as special guests by Muradnagar, Bangra Bazar and Titas Circle Assistant Police Superintendent AKM Kamruzzaman, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Shafiul Alam Talukder, Upazila Agriculture Officer Krishibid Pavel Khan Pappu, Social Service Officer Barun Chandra Dey, Upazila BNP Convener Mohiuddin Anjan and Member Secretary Molla Mujibul Haque.
Officials from various departments of the Upazila Parishad, leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organizations, brave freedom fighters, and people from different classes and professions were present at the time.
