
Agriculture, Housing & Public Works Advisers visit paddy harvesting, threshing activities in Arial Beel, exchange views with farmers

Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Adviser to the Ministry of Home Affairs and Agriculture, and Adilur Rahman Khan, Adviser to the Ministry of Housing and Public Works and the Ministry of Industries, visited the paddy harvesting and threshing activities at Arial Beel in Srinagar Upazila of Munshiganj district.
They observed the activities at Sridharpur in Srinagar Upazila around 2:30 PM on Saturday.
Later, they held a discussion with local farmers, listened to their various problems and complaints, and promised to take necessary steps to address them. Agriculture Advisor Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury assured the farmers of canal excavation for their benefit and directed the local administration to stop the illegal soil cutting from the agricultural land of Arial Beel.
The Industry Advisor stated that some development projects have been taken for the betterment of Munshiganj. He mentioned that discussions are ongoing regarding those projects and that they are trying their best to ensure proper implementation within the allocated budget.
Present at the harvesting and farmer discussion session were Secretary of Housing and Public Works Ministry Md. Nazrul Islam, Agriculture Secretary Dr. Md. Emdad Ullah Mian, District Commissioner and Magistrate Fatema-tuz-Zohra Jannat, Superintendent of Police Md. Shamsul Alam Sarkar, Srinagar Upazila Executive Officer Md. Mohin Uddin OC of Srinagar Police Station Shakil Ahmed, Deputy Director of Agriculture for the district Biplob Kumar Mohonto and Srinagar Upazila Agriculture Officer Mohsina Jahan Toron, among others.
