48th founding anniv of Mahila Dal celebrated in Jhalakathi

The 48th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Mahila Dal was celebrated in Jhalakathi with cake cutting, discussion meetings and a colorful rally.
The program was organized by the Jhalokati District Women's Party at the district BNP office on Amtala Road in the city on Wednesday afternoon.
The program began with the cutting of the anniversary cake. Later, District Women's Party President Matia Mahfuz Jewel and General Secretary Sakina Alam Liza addressed a brief discussion meeting.
Speakers at the discussion said that the Bangladesh Nationalist Women's Party was established with the aim of increasing women's political awareness, protecting their rights, and empowering them socially and politically. The leaders and activists of the organization have been playing an important role in the movement to restore democracy in the country and establish people's rights.
After the discussion meeting, a colorful rally was taken out from the district BNP office. Led by District Women's Party President Matia Mahfuz Jewel, the rally circled various roads of the city and ended in front of the party office.
In addition to the leaders of Jhalokati District Women's Party, Jhalokati Sadar Upazila Women's Party President Farzana Yasmin, General Secretary Lovely; Rajapur Upazila Women's Party President Mahmuda Begum, General Secretary Arthi Akhter Rikta; Kantalia Upazila Women's Party President Lina Parvin, General Secretary Kamrun Nahar; Nalchiti Upazila Women's Party President Nazma Begum, General Secretary Nurunnahar Kabina and Jhalokati Municipal Women's Party President Reba Rahman, General Secretary Farzana Akhter Sumi; Nalchiti Municipal Women's Party President Happy Begum, General Secretary Laboni Akhter and various union, municipal and ward level leaders and activists participated in the anniversary program.
