The seven-lane road in Satmatha area of Gosaibari union in Dhunat upazila of Bogra district has become unusable for a long time.

Waterlogging causes holes and waterlogging to become a death trap. This situation has been going on for many years. There is no one to watch or get rid of this condition. One accident after another is happening in this dilapidated condition of the road. In particular, CNG-autorickshaws, vans, school and college-going students, small and large transport drivers and commuters are the main victims.

Going to practical , it can be seen that the road from Satmatha of Gosaibari Union to the end of Chuniapara village has turned into knee-deep water and mud due to waterlogging in several places due to rain water. About one lakh people from five unions use this road. Apart from CNG, autorickshaws and vans, long-distance vehicles ply on the road. Locals demanded that the road be repaired quickly. Due to the waterlogging on the roads, the clothes worn by the men and women passengers of CNG, autorickshaws and other types of small vehicles are getting damaged. Sometimes autorickshaws are overturned and small and big accidents happen. Auto drivers are constantly being harmed. The car is getting damaged in a fast time as the road has become waterlogged and muddy. Autorickshaw drivers and locals demanded that the road be repaired in a short time. Md. Ujjal Mia, the driver of the autovan, said that due to the dilapidated condition of the road, many people are now in panic while driving on the road. He sought the intervention of the higher authorities of the government in this regard. In addition, two to three high school and madrasa and college students, including about five to six primary schools, use the road. But in the monsoon season, due to traffic jams and waterlogging on the road, students could not go to school on time. Although a long time has passed, no one concerned has noticed this neglected death trap road in rural areas.

Md. Helal Mia, a resident of Gosaibari area, said, “During the monsoon season, our road becomes muddy. Farmers of four to five unions are not able to take their produce to the market as the road is not repaired quickly. So thinking of the people living in this neglected village, everyone demanded a quick repair of the road. Not only this, the condition of carpeting of Dhunat Gosaibari road is even more deplorable. The carpeting of the streets is going up as the years go by. Seeing the condition in front of the house of Jamal (Hotel Jamal) in Sadar area of Dhunat, it is true.
