The court has given life sentence to three people including Aziz Mohammad Bhai in the case related to the murder of actor Sohail Chowdhury of the 90s. Judge Arunabh Chakraborty of Dhaka Speedy Trial Tribunal-2 announced the verdict on Thursday.

In addition to the prison sentence, the court also sentenced each of them to one month's imprisonment without paying a fine of Tk 2 lakh.

Besides, the court acquitted the remaining 6 accused as the charges were not proved beyond doubt. The convicts are Trumps Club owner Afaqul Islam alias Bunty Islam, businessman Aziz Mohammad Bhai alias Abdul Aziz and Adnan Siddiqui.

Aziz is said to have kissed Salman Shah's wife Sameera at a party before Salman Shah was killed. Salman got angry and slapped Aziz in front of everyone. Many consider it as a motive. Although Aziz was in Thailand at the time of the murder. Aziz was also questioned twice about Salman's murder. But it was released due to lack of evidence.

Two years later, another film hero Sohel Chowdhury was murdered in the Dhaka club. Aziz Mohammad's brother and his family were also accused of involvement in this murder. At that time, the dish business of Dhaka was under the control of Sohel Chowdhury's organization. It is believed that Sohel Chowdhury was killed to take over this business.

However, Aziz has remained out of touch due to lack of evidence and Aziz Mohammad Bhai has the opportunity to claim that these allegations against him are baseless, the media has tried to establish him as a don again and again. In 2012, Aziz's nephew, Yaba Samrat, Amin Huda, was jailed for 79 years for drug trafficking.

Currently, Aziz Mohammad Bhai lives in Thailand with his family. He managed the business from there. This fun-loving guy is often seen in different parties and clubs with women. His wife Noreen Mohammad Bhai came to the country and looked after the business. There are 3 sons and 2 daughters in the family.
