UK Professor calls on DU VC

Associate Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of BATH, UK Prof. Dr. Joe Devine called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal May 7, 2024 at the latter’s office of the university.
Dean of Earth and Environmental Sciences Faculty Prof. Dr. Md. Zillur Rahman, Registrar Probir Kumar Sarker, Director of Public Relations Office Mahmood Alam and Dr. M Saiful Islam of Development Studies Department of DU were present on this occasion.
During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interest especially regarding enhancement of research and academic collaboration between Dhaka University and BATH University. Prof. Dr. Joe Devine expressed his willingness to provide all out support to strengthen research culture and environment at DU. He informed DU VC that he would share his knowledge, research and academic activities on social sciences with faculties and students of DU especially of the Department of Development Studies.
DU VC Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal stressed the need for creating academic and research network between DU and BATH University. He sought support and co-operation from Prof. Dr. Joe Devine for enhancing DU ranking globally.
DU VC thanked Prof. Dr. Joe Devine for his visit to and keen interest in undertaking academic and research collaboration with Dhaka University.
