
Two drug dealers arrested with 11.5 -kg of cannabis worth Tk 345,000 in Chandpur

The Coast Guard has detsined two drug dealers with 11.5 kg of cannabis worth Tk 345,000 in Chandpur.
Coast Guard Headquarters Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Harun-or-Rashid informed this in a press release on Monday morning.
According to the press release, based on secret information, on Sunday (13 July) at 1 pm, a special operation was conducted by Coast Guard Station Chandpur in the area adjacent to Chandpur confluence. During the operation, a passenger boat in the area was searched and 2 drug dealers were arrested with 11.5 kg of cannabis worth Tk 345,000.
Later, the seized evidence along with the arrested persons were handed over to Chandpur Sadar Model Police Station for taking further legal action.
To keep the law and order situation of the country stable, Bangladesh Coast Guard has been conducting patrols round the clock. Through this, the law and order situation and prevention of drug trafficking in the coastal and riverside areas under the jurisdiction of the Coast Guard have improved to a great extent. Such operations by the Coast Guard to prevent drug trafficking will continue in the future as well.
