Hazrat Makhdoom Syed Zafar Ghaznabi( R) descendants Distribution relief at Mirbari in West Mohammadpur of Seelam Union of Dakshin Surma Upazila in Sylhet on Tuesday among the flood victims.

Chairman of Dakshin Surma Upazila Parishad Md. Badrul Islam attend the distribution programme as a chief guest.

He said these speech Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is with the flood victims. He is providing all kinds of support to the affected people with utmost compassion.The higher authorities of the government have come forward due to ongoing floods in Sylhet. Efforts are being made to overcome the losses of the flood victims by taking timely measures.

The Prime Minister said that a person should not starve. He welcomed the initiative of UK expatriate Syed Zaheed Ahmad Saju to distribute relief and said that during natural calamities of the country, expatriates like them always stand by the victims and try to improve their quality of life. He said that along with the government, the rich people of the society should come forward to the side of the flood victims.

Chairman of Silam Union Parishad Shah Olidur Rahman, eminent philanthropist and educator Syed Zahurul Islam, president of Dakshin Surma Upazila Sramik League Anwar Hossain Master, social worker Ehsanul spoke as special guests in the event.

Prominent philanthropist and educationist Syed Zaheed Ahmad Saju presided over and UK expatriate a Syed Machum Ahmad conducted the programme.

Ahsanul Haque Chowdhury Dipu, eminent mentor Sayesta Mia, UP members Sohail Ahmad and Sadiq Ahmad, philanthropists Syed Tarek Ahmad, Syed Ruhel Haider, Syed Sohail Haider, Syeda Mumtaz Begum, social workers Lutfur Rahman, Shah Liton Ahmad, Jamal Ahmad, Atiq Ali, Rumel Ahmed also attend the programme.

In the event, relief materials were distributed among more than 250 flood affected families in the area.
