5 persons submit nominations for post of chairman in Hosnabad UP by-election

Five people have submitted nomination papers to participate in the by-election for the post of Chairman of Hosnabad Union Parishad at Betagi in Barguna.
Among them, there are 3 people from the ruling party Bangladesh Awami League, 1 person from the nationalist party BNP and 1 person from the Islamic movement.
Ruling party Awami League- AKM Fazlur Rahman Shikder, Kazi Md Shah Alam, Md Asaduzzaman Ripon, Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP Md Siddiqur Rahman and Islami Andolan Md Hafizur Rahman.
They submitted their nomination papers to Upazila Election Officer and Returning Officer Swapan Sikder till 5 pm on Thursday (July 4). Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on July 5, withdrawal of candidature on July 10, symbol allotment on July 11 and polling on July 27.
It should be mentioned that the chairman of Hosnabad Union Parishad of Upazila Md. Khalilur Rahman Khan participated in the 6th Upazila Parishad election and was elected as Upazila Parishad Chairman, so the post of UP Chairman became vacant.
